Our Story

Providing you with a safe space.

Our suites

Nestled within the heritage-listed walls of Wickham House, The Suites is a welcoming psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychology practice that embodies a quiet, timeless elegance.

Our suites are thoughtfully designed to offer an effortless sense of warmth, safety and calm. We believe that therapy begins as soon as you enter the space; feeling secure, relaxed and respected is fundamental for personal change.

Natural light, soothing textures and handcrafted furnishings bring softness and tranquility to The Suite’s ambience. Lush greenery and a serene, muted palette invite a feeling of peace, so there’s time to settle, think and breathe before each session. Our reception and waiting areas are separated for privacy, a tribute to the traditions of analytic practice, where even the architecture is designed to support reflection and ease.

This is a carefully considered space in which to explore life’s challenges with the assurance of emotional safety and professional care — a place that supports the depth and continuity of collaborative therapeutic work.

Grounded in what matters

Our work is shaped by a small set of values that guide how we think, listen and relate — with patients, referrers and one another. They are less a slogan and more the atmosphere we try to create: discreet, thoughtful, engaged, and centred on the intimate and unique relationship between patient and therapist.

Trust

We nurture authentic clinician–patient relationships built on honest conversation, clear boundaries and carefully held confidentiality.

Being With

We aim to create a safe space where patients feel seen, valued and supported throughout their growth and healing.

Progression

We look for thoughtful, sustainable shifts over time, so change holds up under reflection and helps you move forward differently.

Illumination

We work to illuminate patterns, meanings and parts of self, so that life begins to make deeper sense from the inside.

The building

Within the historic walls of Wickham House, The Suites carries forward a long association with care.

Once the residence and rooms of Dr A.C.F. Halford, the physician who built this landmark in the 1920s, the space has been thoughtfully reimagined for a different kind of work.

It feels fitting that a building originally devoted to physical healing is now home to emotional and psychological restoration. Today, its heritage character and quiet atmosphere provide a discreet, grounded setting for the intimate and unique work of psychotherapy.

If you would like to experience the space for yourself, you’re welcome to begin a conversation with us about the kind of care you are seeking.
